Abingworth Exceeds Target on Latest Life-Sciences Fund
U.K. life-sciences investor Abingworth said it has closed a new fund with $315 million. The vehicle, Abingworth Bioventures VII LP, exceeded its $300 million target. Placement agent Asante Capital Group helped raise the fund. Abingworth has invested in more than 145 life-sciences companies and raised 12 life-sciences funds since its founding in 1973.
Asian Firm Longreach Spanned Globe to Raise New Fund
The private-equity firm, which is based in Tokyo and focused on buyouts and corporate carve-outs in Japan, closed Longreach Capital Partners 3 LP at its $650 million target.
