NEW YORK – Asante Capital Group (“Asante”), a leading independent private equity placement and advisory group, is pleased to announce five team member promotions to Managing Director, effective April 1, 2023.

Brandon Lay is based in Asante’s New York office. He manages a number of the firm’s fundraisings and relationships across North America. Prior to joining Asante, he traded equities and fixed income for Fairholme Capital Management’s hedge fund, mutual funds and separate managed accounts program. He previously worked in the Valuations Team at PwC and in corporate finance at Singapore-based Chartis. Brandon is a CFA charterholder.
George Lyons manages Asante’s Munich office, where he manages a number of the firm’s European fundraisings and investor relationships. Before joining Asante, he spent four years as a corporate lawyer in the financial institutions group at Clifford Chance, where he advised on a range of issues including the sale and purchase of portfolio companies. George also had a secondment in BlackRock’s institutional legal team in London.
Jared Davidson is based in Asante’s New York office. He manages many of the firm’s North American fundraisings and relationships. Prior to joining Asante, he worked on the Investor Relationships team at American Securities, where he assisted with fundraising and marketing efforts. Jared previously worked at KKR in the Client and Partner Group, at GCM Grosvenor on the Private Markets team, and at AllianceBernstein in Wealth Management.
Jonathan Graham is based in Asante’s London office. He manages many of the firm’s secondary placements and maintains relationships with investors throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Jon previously spent five years as Head of Hedge Fund Secondaries – Americas at DWS Group in New York. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ivy Asset Management in their Capital Markets Group, Strategic Solutions & Development and Fund Recovery Services.
Kelly Phelan is based in Asante’s New York office. She manages a number of the firm’s fundraisings and investor relationships throughout North America. Prior to joining Asante, Kelly was a Vice President at MVision Private Equity Advisers, where she was responsible for project management and distribution across Canada and the Northeastern United States. Previously, she worked at Goldman Sachs in the Equity Capital Markets division and at CIBC World Markets in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Distribution business.
