Orion Energy Raises More Than $600 Million So Far for New Fund

Orion Energy Partners held a first close for its newest fund on Thursdays, raising $605 million so far to make debt investments in energy infrastructure and services businesses, said a person familiar with the matter.

The New York-based private equity firm is seeking $900 million for Orion Energy Credit Opportunities Fund III LP, WSJ Pro Private Equity previously reported. Orion expects to close the fund by the second quarter of 2020.
